Senior Financial Analyst

Yuan Fang is a Senior Financial Analyst at Merk Investments and member of the portfolio management group. She focuses on macro-economic research, security selection and portfolio analytics.

Yuan holds a Master of International Affairs in International Finance and Policy from Columbia University and a B.A. in Economics from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. She studied European Central Banking at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Prior to joining Merk Investments, Yuan gained experience in management consulting and financial analysis through internships at Bain & Company and Publicis Groupe. She has passed all three levels of the CFA exam, and may be awarded the charter upon completion of the required work experience.

Yuan lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and swimming.
